We are truly blessed that you have entrusted your child to us for their formation and education. We recognize the sacrifice that you have made as a family in order to provide your child with a Catholic education. Raising a child is a communal effort. The Church identifies the parents as the primary educator of children. In turn, a Catholic school is a secondary resource that a parish provides to assist parents in this endeavor.
While addressing the rising costs of maintaining and operating a school along with rises in fixed expenses, we strive to keep increases to a minimum through diligent financial stewardship and control of expenses. We will continue to work hard to provide you and your child with the exceptional education you expect and deserve through your investment in St. Louis Catholic School. We acknowledge that the last few years have presented families with many challenges. We have strived to keep the tuition increase as minimal as possible, while still taking into account the rising costs.
Currently, the cost per pupil is about $7500. The parish has been generous in subsidizing the cost of education for our families. This subsidy is close to $200,000 annually. As you can imagine, this is not sustainable for our parish. Therefore, there will be an increase in the cost of tuition and the process in which the parishioner subsidy is given. There will be qualifications for active parishioner tuition subsidy provided to families. This updated process will be outlined in the upcoming registration packet.
St. Louis School is proud to participate in the Ohio Educational Choice Scholarship program. This program provides funding to families who qualify through their public school or given income requirements. In addition to this, there is some funding available through the Catholic Education Foundation, which is part of Archdiocese of Cincinnati. We encourage all families that are in need of financial assistance to apply for these scholarships. More information is provided in the attached 2023-2024 tuition information sheet.
Thank you for your commitment to Catholic education and your continued support of St. Louis School.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Lottie Waldman, Principal
and
Fr. Thomas H. McCarthy, Pastor
As a Catholic school, faith in Jesus Christ is at the heart of who we are, what we do, and how we teach our students. We emphasize faith as an integral component of learning regardless of the subject being taught. We follow the Archdiocese of Cincinnati guidelines as well as including the Graded Course of Study (GSC) program used in Catholic elementary schools throughout the Archdiocese.
Besides an excellent religious formation, we value and stress academics. In addition, we keep pace in terms of technology and services: computers, smart boards, etc. Our goal is to produce well-rounded individuals who are equipped to succeed in the next level of education.
St. Louis School serves the four churches of Holy Family, Clermont Co.: Holy Trinity, St. Ann, St. Louis, and St. Philomena. We'd love you to check us out further on Facebook.
